2008 was a huge year for RCTLounge. We came from a little forum to become one of the top Coaster Game websites. Here’s a review of what happened:
January
After suffering a complete crash and lost of everything, we picked up our bags from InvisionFree and moved to HostMonster and setup what has become the new RCTLounge. We quickly setup the forum with MyBB.
February
More features are being added to the forums, such as downloads, the arcade, and user gallery. The homepage also had just started being planned and designed.
March
An increasing number of traffic comes in, with new members everyday. The homepage is still under design, with most of the core being finished.
April
The new homepage launches to great reviews. Traffic hits an all-new high, and RCTLounge is slowly climbing up.
May
As we prepare for the summer rush, we have a very active user base to start out for what will be a great summer.
June
As summer starts, it’s become obvious that RCTLounge is growing every day. We have more projects, threads, and competitions being posted than ever!
July
To help improve RCTLounge, we invest in vBulletin, a top-of-the-line forum software that took RCTLounge to a new level. New profiles, user albums, downloads: the feedback is great on the Forum upgrade.
August
We announce the complete redevelopment of the homepage. From the design, to the content, every little bit of the homepage will be changed. Development actually began in the beginning of July, with the pages and other features being planned.
September
Traffic takes a dramatic fall, as school starts again. But, we are determined to continue on with the redevelopment, and we pushed through. Nothing prepared us for…

Novemeber
The brand new site is launched after much anticipation. A huge soar in traffic comes with the new site. Many people consider us to be one of the top Coaster Simulator website around.
December
We reach an all-new high here at RCTLounge. A brand new group of active members comes in and brings our activity level back to pre-September levels.
