I'll first tell you about the parks history, Ridgewood Park is an older park that started in the 1930's as picnic grounds for the local residents of Winston-Salem, with the addition of the Ridgewood Scenic Steam Train in 1957 the park evolved continuously as an amusement park. In 1973 the park started an devouring downward spiral ultimately ending in the parks inevitable abandonment, and most of the parks original attractions were sold to other amusement parks throughout the east coast. It had seamed as though Ridgewood park had been lost and forgotten forever when in 2003 CTRS Industries, owner of the popular Clinchfield themepark chain, eyeballed the park as their east coast Carolina gem. After 4 years of redevelopment the families of those involved were invited to enjoy some of the compleated park.

Thanks! the enterance is not completely finnished I havent built the GR building which will be accesable from inside and oustside the park. Copperhead is pretty insane, I've even questioned wether I would ride it "if given the capability"

This park is amazing! My favorite part is the rapids.

Thanks! The rapids hold a special place for me, its a modified verson of "Folly Falls" from my first Clinchfield, with the exception that the entire first half of this spin off is incased inside a show building.

I debated on whether to use so many different types of track for Copperhead and i actually still wanted to use the Serpent "PAX" trains for the track but even with ctr the extended coaster wouldn't flip from vertical track to inverted track properly, I still think I might see if i can disable the partical effect that does the serpents breath from my files its a little cheesy I think.. like how some of the stalls jiggle and dance... (what were they thinking? did we learn nothing from Sim Theme Park?) oh and I'm glad you like the sitting area infront of the rapid's lift back to the station... it is my favorite place in the park so far...

lol Thanks, I thought I was overloading the park with scenery. i mean im trying to add alot of the things most people ommit. like safty signage and backstage areas, i also have the advantage of knowing several parks from the inside out so maybe im applying that knowledge for the first time I'm aprotching this as.. "what do i need to add to make it less rct3" like how i've added "Greeter" cast members for each attraction

^That is just custom scenery. He can't control it.

This is a really great park! I love that corkscrew coaster in the first picture; that shot reminds me of the Great American Scream Machine at Great Adventure. The station for the rapids ride looks really nice, and I think the rest of it will be really good too. The newest coaster is really unique, too; it's a nice combination of tracks. That coaster is easily in the top ten of best Arrow loopers in RCT3. The layout is so perfect, and it looks like it could be a real Arrow looper in some real theme park. lol I even told DZ that someone would notice my selective placement of custom supports, the truth is i didnt want to run up my pollys this park is still only 1/3 compleated according to the origional plan. I figured if i finished the park and it still runs well I'll go back and do the zelous stuff, same reason why there's no footers. lol good eye tho!

I honestly wasnt going to do any POV's for this park, and this is actually my first POV. and i noticed that everyone seems to do Cinematic on rides and it really just takes me out of the experiance, im glad you like ill probably do a "YouTube" vid for each coaster now, but everyone will have to wait till the end for Copperhead its located almost Precisely where the center of the park is and I want to wait untill its surrounded first.

I wasnt sure if people would get that or not... Its a grain silo, but thanks for bringing it to my attention I think ill try to dress it up alittle more, i wished i could get a sideways dome to fit on one end.. everything ive tried is off scale.

WOW! Everything looks awesome... the name is hillarious! Folly Falls? LOL!

lol the name refers to the storyline, while mining for coal, minners struck an aquafer and flooded the nearby valley and the town that was in it, it was their Folly that created the Falls.

Now the update!

this update will be centered around the Plaza

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0178.jpg

This is the Aerial, here you can see the basic layout of the entrance plaza, the function of each building is some what apparent, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. Every thing in the Plaza is compleated with the exception of the two gabled buildings are awaiting windows and doors, "Im really just not sure what i want to use or the placement" that makes this the most compleated area of the park. its also the smallest... go fig!

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0176.jpg

I love this shot, with the exception of the fact that im not 100% satisfied with the fountain and the park logo has actually already been replaced since these pictures.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0179.jpg

That SkyCoaster is MONSTEROUS, why couldnt we have gotten a realistic one, most skycoasters aren't even over 15 stories. "bad developer, bad!" the tallest rollercoaster will be to the left of this shot and the last coaster will be almost directly behind the Guest Relations building's peak but given its distance from the entrance and the fact that it should top off under 120 ft i dont think you'll see much of it from here, as far as the rest of the skyline a ~270 ft skytower will rise from the space just above the yellow tree.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0180.jpg

Here you can see the path design the design has little significance but it serves to lead the flow of traffic to and through the ticket booths rather than around them. here you also see a generation point, there's actually ~10 of them, this guy decided to stand out tho.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0185.jpg

This is the secondary enterance, and it serves several purposes... it provides access to the amphitheater and its serves as a "Beta Gate" when the park is under hard close or emergancy evacuation situation. This gate will also become the primary enterance durring the parks Halloween event.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0186.jpg

Pictured here is the tram drop off from the back two parking lots.

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a200/ctrsind/Shot0187.jpg

And lastly here is the guest drop off area you can quickly drop of any guest here before parking there is another guest drop off area on the other side of the parking complex for guest drop offs that do not intend to park, they may then take the tram to the plaza. The addition of awnings to the path from the parkinglot is not shown in this picture.

Thanks the funny thing is that the flag poll was a last minute decision I origionaly had just a 2/2 tree in that planter and then I used the flag cause I needed a more "Family Owned" feel to the park

Two sets, the Square path tiles are from Shy's Main Street 4 and the curves are from Gothic Walls, Cook I think.

Sorry for the long pause, I've had so much going on, and I was in MD for a month, I'm working more hours at Disney but better late than never... here is more from Ridgewood. if you have any questions as to where these places are located within the park please ask i think most of them you've already seen just maybe a lot more undeveloped.

Will do, Thanks!

I agree. That's too cool.

I'll try to tone down the coolness next time, so as not to exceed the acceptable coolness level, JK.

Not TOO colorfull I hope... I wanted everything to feel more organic, also not blocky I hope, cept those on the Promenade they should be rather blocky.

This update will be primarily isometric shots, I think it will give you the best sense of the area.

Also the finishing touches have been made to Mountain Midway and the refurbishments will be addressed at the end of this post.

Welcome Back Ladies and Gents. The 08 season is coming to an end and there is still much to report on across the park.

Frontier Forest has gotten some much desired TLC, by way of a new QSR called "The Davy Crocket Cafe" and a neighboring childrens play area.

Also in a recent press release Ridgewood announced that "Cringefield," the annual halloween event that graces Clinchfield (Ridgewood's sister parks) will not be appearing at Ridgewood durring the 08 season. The park went on to express their intrest in venturing into these type of events in the future but the lack of under-development within the park causes operational issues. Ridgewood officials also took this moment to annouce that "Club Clinch" the annual event that Clinchfield guest enjoy in the summer will be making its debut as "Ridgewood Underground" this October. The park released promotional images with the Ridgewood Undergound logo on it accompanied by the tag line "Where Dance Comes To Play" also appearing is the Tecktonic logo, a french brand name turned European cultural icon when it was spawnd by the Tecktonic dance craze that blends hip hop, techno, late 80s Vogueing, 90s Waving and old school Breakdancing. Tecktonic will be sponsoring the event this year.

When questioned about the 09 season, officials said "expect to see a drastic change in the sky."

In my opinion, Shyguy's custom scenery is the most popular
