Hey all, this is Rollerman 87. I've noticed quite a few have taken interest in some of my work, especially the new Avalanche by ReaperAshes. I am opening this shop in order to design supports for you guys, or to provide tips on improvement. I can do both steel and wooden supports. Here are a few examples of my wooden supports:

I study real-life supports a lot, plus I am always experimenting with new ideas.
If you want me to design your supports, or need help, the file you send me must have no CS sets of any kind on it. My computer will freak out.
I use JCat's Steelwox Moby's Steel Jungle (putting in V2 very soon), BigBurger's Timber (all three sets), and I will let you know if I find another set that might work for your coaster.

Well this looks like a near impossible feat because of landscaping and other in-game factors. A good idea you could produce out of this would be to construct a tutorial explaining how you make such elegant structures.

Awesome idea! This would surely help me, when i do a woody sometime since I suck at them.

It's not as hard as it sounds actually. Avalanche had flat terrain when I began. I did do the terraforming for the actual river, but she has done all of it outside the ride. I have also designed the supports for a friend of mine. It was a steel diver that actually was almost done.
It is hard yes, but not impossible. I love building supports, and I don't think a tutorial would really sum it up :D
EDIT :P- Plus, if you do design on a flat terrain, but want hills, I could save the supports to the ride itself, and then you adjust the coaster over the land, and all you might have to do is extend a few ertical parts, and maybe redo the footers.

Yeah, just give me the basic park file, or even the coaster file, and I'd love to take a crack at it!

Cool. Can't wait to see it! Remember to have the track alone. Do any terraforming, if it's just one thing in the park, or send me the coaster file if it is part of a park.

Well nevermind, I'm probably going to get grounded :(:icon13:
sorry for double posting, I just HAVE to say this: Okay, I didn't get grounded ;D and I made a ride...... Are you good enough to support it? xD I know you can support it, it's pretty compact. But I need your Email so I can send you the file.....

Thanks. ReapersAshes asked me to do it, for she was having trouble with wooden supports, and it turned out pretty good :P

Its a matter of getting used to them. There is a great tut made by godsmuffinman on atari. If he accepts, I could post it here. Its also good to look at real coasters for ideas.

For wooden coasters, I just make sure there is a lot of crossbeams and vertical beams, and I support the outside more than the inside
For steel, I just go off whatever the general feel of the coaster is. Do I want a ton of steel, or very minimal? Do I want the supports to help with the theming, or just to be there? etc.

That is a big thing I also do. I study real coasters to get a feel for how overdone most of my steel coasters are.
As for the tutorial, I personally have never even looked at it, and I'm glad people have gotten help with wooden supports, but no, I don't want the tutorial posted on here. Thank you.

You should fill the lake with water cuz it makes your supports that much better!

The final product was filled with water, but I took the pics without water for her, so that she could she the extent of what I did. I just wanted to share these pics with ouy guys, showing the raw supports and not much else :P

Basically, what I personally can do is do a set like I did for Firestreak and The Workshop, and keep it at a generic color :D
