It's really starting to get on my nerves . I've had a lot of troubles with the game ever since I got my new computer.. Most of it is just about ctrs . But I have no idea why it keeps doing this... It started doing it a day after I put all of my custom scenery sets from my old computer on to this one. Im not sure how to make it go wawy . I know the rights thing is wrong , I have TONS of memory on here left , and I looked in all of my packs vand no read me... I have no idea on how to get rid of it. If you have any suggestions , please post.
p.s. I do have vista

You probably need Local Administrator permission because it said"insufficient access rights." did you put the files in a different user's folder? I think I got this message once and it was because I forgot I was logged on in my brother's profile.
Woah, that's weird. The only message that I keep getting is that in-game, when I try to place a CTR, it shuts off RCT3. I've never seen this message.

I get that message all the time too, never had any problems because of it though. I just ignore it.
Sometimes when people release things for download, the permissions are copied with the files. I've had this problem on some particle effects.
after building a new computer and trying to transfer my coasters, scenario, new scenario, and parks folders over, i have also been getting that message. i have no custom anything, and no options.txt cheats. have tried going into properties to turn off the read only thing, but it resets as soon as i close that box. mine is the only profile on the computer, and if it helps...i have 590+ GB available on the hard drive. running XP,athlon 2 CPU, 4G of gskill memory and an asus 4870GPU off a corsair 750w PSU.
this keeps happening whether i use a 8G flash drive, or hook up my old hard drive thru the USB ports using a Xtrastor Mobile Disk case.
any ideas on how to fix this nonsense?

I get it all the time I just ignore it. It comes up as Doug said because of the permissions from other computers that you may of copied from. Only true way to get rid of it is to delete all custom files and reinstall then download all the files again. (hah sounds like fun.) Other than that, it is harmless but annoying.
Another way to look at it is to think that (in this scenario) that RCT3 is "registered" to computer 1 (you.) then something may come up that requires you to copy the game files (CS, parks, etc.) those files are from user 1 then get transferred to computer 2. The files are still "registered" to computer 1 so the new RCT3 installed on computer 2 does not recognized them but will still play them.

I got that message once, but I got rid of it. What I did was I reinstalled everything. :P
I took ALL the files that had anything to do with RCT3, put them in the trash, and emptied the trash.
That message did seem harmless because I was able to play the game, but it turned out I actually did have problems with my game because once I saved a game it would not let me load it again.
I would not recommend spending a ton of time reinstalling custom files like I did to get rid of a message you can delete in a second... If you don't need to that is. There's obviously a problem, but if you can play RCT3 fine then don't reinstall.
