How do you lower the number of faces?

Im making a sign in Sketchup, and its lookin really good...until i find out that it has 960 faces....so, how exactly do you lower the number of faces in an object?


And also, whats the next step to exporting/importing after you convert the files from SKP to ASE files?

Just lower the amount of shapes you use. 960 is a lot but probably really detailed.
