Default How to Make a Dark Ride - part 6 released

Hi, this is something I've been planning for a while now, but have only just managed to produce. People have frequently asked me how I produce good dark rides. I have divided this up into a few separate parts, which I will make and release over time. Since I have a lot of other RCT3 projects going on, the release of these might be a bit haphazard, but they should all be done eventually.

Part 1 - The Story - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BvC3lgc31c
Part 2 - The Track - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aLbrve2SHo
Part 3 - The Scenery - Room and Walls - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqNhG...eature=related
Part 4A - The Scenery - Events and Effects/Lighting and Further Effects part 1/2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSIPnE4p0NA
Part 4B - The Scenery - Events and Effects/Lighting and Further Effects part 2/2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdubjJy9taY
Part 5 - Queue and Facade - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Fx-IZ2ZSNQ

Very nice tutorials so far. I haven't the slightest clue where to start on a dark ride. Hopefully when these are all done, I can attempt one

Cheers for the comments guys!

Ok, is there any ride events that people want covered in part 4....I'm stuck over what to actually talk about in it? Any specific things people want to know?

I don't know. I don't even know any of the CS to use in dark rides. Maybe you could make a list of sets to use in one of the videos ^.^

Well, my current plan is to have a "free-form" ramble put on camera as I create a dark ride as I go along. A longer unedited stream of random creations with the camera on me. I plan to put up notes and annotations about which CS I'm using as I go along as well, so that it can help.

Ok, part 4 is uploaded now.

Unlike the others, the (two) part 4 video(s) are NOT laid out like a proper tutorial, since it's 20 minutes of me rambling about scenery, whilst making it live on camera. Since there's so much that could be covered, it's mostly just tips and tricks.

Best way to do that is video splicing and other video editing tricks to 'fake' day and night transitions. If you film all of it during the day using black walls it'll just look crap.
